Hello, bar code.
Hundreds and thousands of books, sandwiches, televisions and other merchandise are tagged a small bar code to help us buy them in a second.
Every bar code should be unique and original to tell the difference between themselves and others but meanwhile, it is just a bar code.
However, living in an age of consumerism, we ourselves gradually became a kind of merchandise unconsciously. We judge others by clothes, appearances, degrees, and jobs.
Explanation
I searched a variety of people of different jobs, faces, and clothes which also reflects differences in backgrounds and personalities. Then, I cut many of the bar code from different products including magazines, books, and cosmetics and pasted them on people’s face.
Eyes, as the windows of minds, are blocked. So the communications between people are losing and we are being materialized by society and ourselves.
Eventually, there are only bar codes left.
