The Way of K / Zixuan Lai / 2018 / Flash animation
Inspiration
I was infatuated by Kafka’s The Castle and for a few weeks, I was falling into the world with K. I was following his steps, as a land surveyor, trying to find out what is the castle and who is K himself.
And eventually, we did and we did not. It is frustrating that the castle is a never-reaching place but that also reveals an in-between status in lives that is ruleless and unpredictable.
Explanation
Who are you? Where did you come from? Where are you going?
Although we thought we have our goals and directions, most of the time lives are just some sequences of the disorder.
So here’s my work, numerous random spots. Which one are you? And what fate are you having?
